AGT Poortman

AGT Poortman are an established trader, importer and processor of food ingredients, based in London, UK, and part of AGT Food and Ingredients Inc, an international food business.

Frederic Smart have a long relationship with Poortman, providing storage, order picking and distribution services to many major food manufacturers and retailers across the UK.

Serviced from their Papworth, Cambridge site, food products are received and stored in ambient, chilled and organic areas of the warehouse. Distribution UK-wide ranges from single pallets to full lorry loads.

Sco-Fro Group Ltd

Sco-Fro Group Ltd is an award-winning leader in the processing, selling and marketing of food products, branded and own label, to major retailers and food service distributors worldwide.

In March 2023, Sco-Fro secured a listing at Lidl for noodle products, which are manufactured in China and imported to the UK in floor loaded shipping containers.

Sco-Fro approached Frederic Smart for a solution for this logistics requirement, and following discussions and agreement of SLAs, shipment of product was commenced in May 2023 for devanning, palletisation, storage and onward distribution to Lidl RDCs.

Two years on, product is flowing steadily via the Peterborough site to the customer, Lidl, and Sco-Fro Group’s Senior Logistics Manager made the following comments: “We have been working with Frederic Smart since May 2023 and have felt they provide an excellent service.
